Jim Dorman started working in show business at the age of 8, helping his family put together plays and ceremonies for the Masonic Lodge in his hometown. His love of performance, attention to detail, and awareness of the audience’s needs and feelings give him a unique insight into building all kinds of gatherings and making them meaningful for everyone. His on- and off-stage epxerience gives him the confidence and knowledge to ask the right questions, and the ability to ensure that the attention is focused on your ceremony.
Gentle Guidance
As the center of attention, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and nervous about saying or doing the wrong thing. With a long career in public speaking, Jim understands the importance of subtlety in helping everything go smoothly. He knows what needs to be done and can help guide you to the right place at the right time in a way that looks & sounds completely natural–your audience will never know that you forgot where you were supposed to be standing or what to say, so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
Respect
Jim is ordained by the Universal Life Church, supporting most faiths and denominations. Comfortable with both secular and faith-based ceremonies, he can incorporate as much or as little spirituality/religion as you wish into your ceremony.
